![]() FORENSICS TESTING Do you have evidence of something suspicious? DNA forensic testing can be used for: criminal identification, rape, burglary, murder, retesting evidence, criminal paternity, identifying remains, infidelity, fraud investigations, drug testing, product tampering and much more. Forensic testing will determine whether a sample came from a specific individual. Samples can include biological specimens or almost any item that a person has come in contact with. Biological specimens would include such things as cigarette filters, envelopes and stamps, drinking containers (glass, bottle, Styrofoam cup), hats, caps, ski masks, gloves, chewing gum, toothbrush, hair brush, jewelry, eyeglasses, clothing, weapons (trigger, grips, handles) fingernail clippings or scrapings). Preservation of biological evidence is imperative. Wet or humid stains must be air dried. Store all samples in a cool environment. Never store samples in plastic especially if evidence is wet because mold and mildew will speed up the degradation of the DNA. Due to the delicate nature of this type of testing, we recommend that you contact one of our experienced Case Coordinators to facilitate the collection of the evidence. |
